Northern Vision Eye Care is located on the corner of Silver Lake and Barnes Road within the Copper Ridge Development. The new 10,000 square foot building evolved from the simple notion of creating a modern barn (wood timber frame) structure with exposed (raw) materials to show its own individuality. The exterior materials/form and harmonious massing evokes the context/landscape of Copper Ridge. The interior organization starts with the placement of small roofed buildings within the larger wood timber frame structure. The continuous movement throughout the main level extends to the rear of the building and the change from public to private space. The second level conference room with balcony overlooks the wood timber frame structure and the center volume.
