Hilzinger Block Building Restoration project is located at the north end of downtown Royal Oak. The existing two-story 12,000 sf building was built in 1926 as the Hilzinger Hardware Store. The building had been through numerous facade modifications over the years and needed a major exterior renovation. Also, the second level had been carved into three small service retail tenants. The scope was to restore the building to its original 1926 aesthetic, develop street level retail with second level office/retail and provide an anchor building for the north end of the expanding downtown CBD.
